Spring Cleaning

This Spring things are cleaning up for a flirty, feminine, and lady-like look.

Start packing away your studded accessories and take a vacation from being a hard rock ‘n’ roll goddess; it’s time to evoke your inner Audrey… Hepburn that is.

Walk the floors of all the top department stores and you’ll see that designer’s across the world are slowly trading in their heavy armored designs for bows and a nuance of floral prints, creating a more inviting and classic look. Simplicity is key in these whimsical designs. If you’re ready for a breath of fresh air and to tip-toe through the flower fields then read on, dear friend, and see what key trends you should be looking for this season.

Kate Moss for Longchamp – Soho Clutch
Lady-like elements: Silhouette, material, color, and clean look

This adorable envelope clutch is something every lady should receive in the mail; postage pre-paid, of course! Stingray leather is made even more fantastic in this emerald color-way showing a perfect pairing that will make any gal green with envy! There's no need to overdose on hardware here, as the texture of the stingray and contrast leather trim are just enough.

Topshop - Faux Leather Quilted Cross-body
Lady-like elements: Silhouette, quilting, turn-lock hardware, cross-body functionality, and polka dot print

Who knows ladies better than Chanel? This petite purse channels the loveliness of Lady Channel and is popped with a funky fun polka dot print. Chain accents and a touch of metal are softened up with a woven trim. Perfectly polished finger nails will look ultra fabulous as they delicately unlock shiny gold hardware to reveal the contents of a fairytale.

Tommy Hilfiger – Leather Tassel Bag
Lady-like elements: Color, material, stitching detail, and tassel

Classic and sleek in the prettiest shade of pink. This bag has all the right elements. Oversized studs are replaced with dainty detail stitching and a playful tassel. A touch of pink enamel hardware is used to harness down a chain shoulder strap reminiscent of your backyard swing-set.

In relation to
Bekahs fabulous cooking post here is a rather humorous yet clever website with some surprisingly good recipes! www.whatthefuckshouldimakefordinner.com

Baked Polenta with a White Wine Artichoke Sauce

I can't say that I'm a "cook," but I do enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and flirting with different flavors. Last night I was craving something delicious, but I didn't feel like putting in all the man hours for a gourmet dish; I had shed enough blood, sweat and tears for one day.

One would be surprised with the crazy concoctions you can put together with the random contents of your fridge, I sure was delightfully surprised last night.

Total cook time: 20 minutes

I would like the give special thanks to Rebekah for creating this blog and letting me be a part of it. I will do my best to contribute for the "male perspective'' on everything beautiful in art and fashion. Stay tuned for future postings!

To Be Continued...

Welcome!

Is there a more perfect day to start [give birth to] a blog than Mother's Day?

Together, my dear friend, Justin, and I bring to you a blog filled with fashion, food, and anything else that strikes our fancy! We met in college, FIDM of course, and indulge in all things beautiful. We enjoy food, photography, a great bottle of wine and of course clothes and accessories. We're a bi-coastal team, both of us day dreamers and both of us visionaries and we want to share our quirkiness with the world.

Oh, reader, we hope to tantalize and intrigue you with our posts. We invite you to take a minute to unwind and catch up with us whenever your busy week permits. Pour yourself a glass of wine, tea, or one of those shi shi foo foo herb infused drinks and flip through our digital pages.

Now, without further ado, we introduce our baby- boyfriend.girlfriend.blog, or for short "Bf.Gf"...
